Fruits and vegetables are harvested during autumn in Aomori, and the freshly harvested produce colors dinner tables across the country.

The most famous fruit grown in Aomori is apples. Aomori boasts the highest production in Japan, accounting for approximately half of the total apple production in the nation. Aomori apples are a favorite in both Japan and overseas for their high quality and delicious taste, and demand is rising.

Fuji, Tsugaru and Sekaiichi apples are harvest and enjoyed in different periods from August to November.
